The ad is for 1 fastener, the part is a direct replacement for the existing floor mat fasteners on original mats supplied along with the car.

To remove the existing one, simply unscrew the two plastic parts and when fitting in the new ones you need to pop them in if having difficulty with the threads. While applying pressure, please do not hold the plastic areas that attaches to the clips on the car upholstery, instead use the edges of the plastic part.
